You can read my review of Goodbye Volcano High free on Unwinnable.com now. I really love this game! I really want to see the version of it the devs set out to make! Regardless, it's a lovable game with some great big ideas about interactivity and themes of apocalypse and it has one of the coolest soundtracks maybe ever? Seriously go listen to it.

lmao did a double-take since the Medium review title I went with was "The Meteor is The Metaphor, But Also Literal?"

with works like GVH where the end result still got the intended impact out of me, it becomes a "love it for all its faults" case. there was probably supposed to be more of Rosa, Stella, and Sage, but we didn't get that version of it

despite that, it's been my personal fave of the year and I've been chomping at the bit for more earnest write-ups like yours from the altgames sphere, especially since this is one of those unfortunate instances of a game that got seen by the wrong audience and hounded by bad faith readings
