if you see a good post, follow whoever made it. then go to their page and see if they've reposted some other good posts. follow those people. repeat until you've got a healthy timeline. you can always unfollow later of course! but without a recommendation algorithm or anything like that, you have to curate your own timeline. check out tags as well! and most importantly, have fun and be yourself
Nicky's right on the fucken mark, pls listen to them but while I have you for a moment:
- There's no Mobile App but you can easily get a nearly 'better than that' version by following the install cohost on your phone instructions
- Use tags!! Look up tags!! silence tags you don't wanna see!! I've found so many amazing people through looking at tags of stuff I care about.
- Sure you can do
but so called 'low-effort' chosting is very much encouraged as well! Long blog post about a thing you care about? Hell yea, sure. Four word shitchost that's entirely in the subject line? You're goddamn right. An interactive choose your own adventure made with css? All are welcome here!
- Get a profile photo and bio set up ASAP, because when you start interacting with people that'll let them know who you are and what you're about. Also consider doing an intro post? During each influx of new users I and others tend to check out the #introductions and #intro post tags to say hi.
Sidenote - @eevee has a great guide for doing CSS stuff if you're interested!
