in november 2015 i found a copy of Young Turks Club (영턱스클럽)'s second album while digging around half-price books, heard the track Love Designer and my life was never the same i've been chasing the late 80s-through-early 00s (mostly 90s) k-pop rabbit hole ever since.

i was into contemporary k-pop earlier in the 2010s (Sweetune fighting!) but generally lost interest midway through the decade, so perfect timing for this stuff to grab me by the neck and never let go. over the years i've posted a bunch on my tumblr and made three whole mixtapes (with a fourth in the future, probably) and there's just so much and it's always so interesting—music that's life-changing, amazing, genius, blatantly plagiarized, lazy, miraculous, catchy, crassly commercial, funky, beautiful, baffling or various combinations thereof and more.

i'm always looking for an excuse to share more of it and taking cues from @yourlastvow's weekly vocal synth series i thought i could do it here... but probably not weekly? monthly? every other twelve hours? literally whenever? something like that!
