I don't know how much more I'm going to play Splatoon now that the Splatfest is over. There's still stuff I want to get for my locker and whatnot, but I dunno, it kinda feels like I'm just doing the same thing over and over and I don't really care whether I win or lose except that when I lose I have to grind for longer. Maybe it's because I don't play ranked at all. All those modes seem too confusing, and I don't like the idea that my rank could go down. Losing weapon freshness is bad enough.
Also, I got a bunch of super sea snails from the Splatfest, but I don't know what to do with them. I feel like the idea is to put the abilities that you like on the clothes that you like the best, but I'm reluctant to spend any of them because I worry that I'll invest them into some article of clothing and then later find something else that looks cooler and it'll have been a waste. And ability chunks seem extremely rare compared to how many of them you need.
Anyway, it's probably fine if I don't play it much more, since I have plenty of other games I need to finish. But it feels vaguely unsatisfying to step away from it. I don't know what I'm trying to say. But I might have to find something else to post about.
