I live in Portland and sometimes I make video games if I can find somebody who will pay me to do it.

It seems we haven't totally solved the agitated animal attack problem after all. Minkot Alodtulon, dwarven child, was just mauled by a giant black bear called Sidmonang. It got caught in one of our cage traps, but too late. I'm putting the beast on display in the ranger guildhall/zoo as a grim reminder of... I dunno, something. I've also commissioned a statue of Minkot by our legendary stonecrafter, Tobul Papersquids.

I think the reason this keeps happening to dwarven children is that they haul items outside to the refuse stockpile, and once that job is done, they just stay there playing until something else comes up to bring them inside. This is annoying because I can't designate jobs for children, so I can't tell them not to be haulers. So I guess this sort of thing is just going to happen from time to time. I've mitigated it to the best of my ability.

I'm getting concerned about our food and drink supplies. The population has grown too fast. We're up to 168 now, and there are only 296 food and 30 drinks left. I've got a bunch of plants growing, but it doesn't seem to be enough. I might have to start trading for food... or send out hunters and fisherdwarves, but I don't really want to do that; it's dangerous out there! We might need to start turning away migrants until we get this sorted out.

Found it after I got a ton of cancellations spam from children while trying to keep them in burrows. Another chore they have is getting water for patients and prisoners and I didn't have an internal water source designated so they would run outside to the local murder pond
