I live in Portland and sometimes I make video games if I can find somebody who will pay me to do it.

Sentinels of the Starry Skies was the first Dragon Quest I ever played. My sister and I sunk probably hundreds of hours into both our saves over the course of a couple summers, and dove real deep into the endgame content. I remember loving the job system and the WILD, anime ass storyline. When DQXI was announced, I was so crushed that there was no option to train people in different jobs that I never beat it lol

Yeah! People complain about the playable characters being blank slates, but I had so much fun building a party and customizing everybody with the different jobs. In XI, you kinda just had to take what they gave you and that was a real bummer... especially when, after finally getting everybody together, you get split up and have to track them all down AGAIN. I finished both, but by the time I got to the credits in XI I was ready to be done and I didn't do any of the postgame stuff at all.
