I'm almost at the end of Tokyo Mirage Sessions but it's getting kinda tiresome. They have this mechanic called "sessions" where after you hit an enemy with whatever they're weak to, another party member gets an automatic free attack, and if other party members have the appropriate skills they can follow up on that, so you can eventually chain together a whole bunch of attacks for the price of one. I actually like this mechanic, but the problem is, each of those attacks has an animation and you have to wait for them all to play out every time you use them (so basically every time you attack). There is a "quick sessions" option that reduces the amount of time the animations take, but even with that, at this point in the game I have so many party members and sessions that it adds up. I haven't timed it but it feels like about 10-15 seconds of sessions every time I attack. (To make matters worse, the sessions don't stop even when you've defeated the enemy; they just go into "overkill" mode where each additional attack after the enemy's HP is depleted to 0 gives you bonus money or items.) So the battles are feeling a little tedious.
I just unlocked the final dungeon (I think) and I'm pretty sure it's going to make me re-fight all the bosses from earlier in the game, which I'm also not looking forward to. But I really want to finish the game. Ever since I started it on the Wii U version, it's been bugging me that I never finished it. I want closure so I can move on with my life.
