Nothing is more irrationally frustrating to me than Backloggd not knowing of the existence of the greatest game ever made 😡

I know the game's US name; it IS the best game ever, after all. My point is that it, like almost every resource that sees US as a default, it didn't even bother to check for aliases. It's like saying the Mega Drive doesn't exist, know what I mean?
backloggd also only lists "dragon warrior" for all of the dragon quest games that were published in the US as that, and like, I'm so sorry but I am playing DRAGON QUEST for the FAMICOM not DRAGON WARRIOR for the NES
but yeah it's really funny searching fucking "dragon quest VII" on a website supposedly for video games and only the DS version coming up, give me a fucking break
I just checked and 1) that's so weird and disappointing. But 2) the Dragon Warrior version calls it Dragon Quest in the description; it's right there 💀 Just... They could've just finished the job. https://www.backloggd.com/games/dragon-warrior-vii/
This website is fun, but man does it suck when you don't live where the host lives. I can't be expected to know the alternates of every game I've ever touched, since it would never occur to me that it's called something else elsewhere.
wow I didn't notice that detail, just ridiculous
and yeah I'm in the US myself but I agree that US types making themselves the default perspective in practically everything is just asinine, and as a side note like I just mostly own Japanese games and I'd like my library to reflect that in the art and title! They really should be adding each localization as its own entry it's not fair to everyone outside the US and otherwise
Aliases are included on IGDB which Backloggd pulls from, might be worth adding onto the requests to display that on Backloggd's end and use it for searches.
