I'll never own a WonderSwan, but I imagine its clever problem solving has been quietly influential. I'd wager there's an entire wave of Japanese devs who played it and found new ways to think about games.
Sennou Millennium was perfect for the handheld's vertical rotation. While its big brother, Gunpey, was the one to climb out of obscurity, this game's simple line mechanism is its own unique take on classics like Qix and Tetris. You immediately understand the goal and the game is endlessly repayable.
