It's the mid-90s, so the trading card craze is at its peak. Naturally, Sega wants in and launches Sega Freaks, including multiple of its properties like Sonic, Nights, Virtua Fighter and other big hitters.
The Sonic cards might be my favorite in the 2-year stint of the cards, with some pristine art. The back of every card had some info too, but as a Japan exclusive, it's..ya know, in Japanese. Cards were not only sold in packs, but also sometimes included in first press runs of video games. Physical media used to be pretty cool.
