I just learned of the existence of the FM Towns system, a Japan-only personal computer line with a dedicated portion to video games. And I'm going to make this thing, whose abbreviation stands for "Fujitsu Micro," everyone's problem now. Through the PC's multiple iterations, it would also launch a game console version, despite finding success in Japanese offices.
Mostly, the machine seems to have been a place for arcade ports, but it has a few exclusives here or there. Aside from a line of wild commercials, I think my favorite bit so far is this piece of quintessential 90s tech:
