I need y'all to know that the premise of Eiyuden Chronicle Rising is that it was made for a stick of gum and a six pack. The whole game is shaped to cut costs.

You will see this screen, which indicates new items in store, about a hundred times. In its defense, they made it a fun screen.

I hope that the 46,307 people who gave it $4.5 million on Kickstarter feel like they got their money's worth.

Cohost seems to not care about forlorn platformers, so I'm gonna show a few until one sticks. They'll all be in this era, when the genre kinda faded.

When you think Xbox exclusive, you'll probably know Panzer Dragoon or Jet Set Future Radio. Blinx? That was a thing.

You definitely won't remember Tork Prehistorik Punk, despite the Ubisoft game chasing that same mascot fame. The little dude could even shapeshift, but the only thing they transformed into was a fading memory 😔

In 2007, Sony and Ninja Theory release Heavenly Sword on Playstation 3. The game meanders both critically and commercially, despite a huge push that echoed into a short animated cartoon, a movie and even an inclusion in Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale, far beyond their point of relevance. (Sony was clearly grasping for a roster)

Always thought that was weird, considering Sony does not want to risk making a sequel.

More slow progress from Eiyuden Chronicle Rising.

Having your font literally say "Main Quest 21" is incredibly ballsy, I'll give em that. Chapter? Book? Act? No; subtext is for cowards! This is the progression quest, the rest is filler.

I might slow down, because it's taking a lot of me to do these errands.
