A little Canon Sprint point-and-shoot popped up on Craigslist, so I bought it for a friend. I wanted to check it out first, though, so I ran a roll through it on a walk through the neighborhood.
It's pretty nice, actually. It's got a 35mm lens on it, so it's reasonably wide angle, and the 80s autofocus seems okay. These are all cheats, though, cuz I think it just focused to infinity and let it be. A couple of the shots on the roll came out totally transparent, so the camera just Didn't Fire a couple times. It never made a sound like it hadn't, so I'm not sure what happened. Maybe the shutter's not hyper reliable? Maybe I misinterpreted the status LEDs? Who can say.
This is also the first time I tried doing any kind of photo editing to what I scanned, too. These are all on some cheap Kentmere 400, so the contrast is nothing special. I tweaked the levels a little bit and cropped them, so it's not super intensive editing. But I did kill a couple dust spots on the phone pole, which I'm glad about.
