It always gets way too hot in my house when the sun goes down. The sun just cooks the front of the house, and it sucks. But the colors are nice.
Took a couple shots with long mavica while I was making dinner. It has a surprisingly wide aperture (I think f/2.8?) so it can get pretty shallow DoF. The flowers I shot standing up, most of the way zoomed in.
The lens flare also came out really interestingly shaped. I don't know what in the lens is a triangle (aperture, probably?) but at the right angle to the sun you get a little cascade of them. If you point the camera at the sun you get CCD rows blowing out, which is also a pretty cool effect, but it's kind of garish.
