I've been fucking manually moving a jenkins system from one machine to another, across OS and Jenkins versions, and it's all xml and bash scripts and weird untouched corners covered in dust and cobwebs from its previous life on Someone's Own Machine. I'm going wild, I'm becoming part of the machine, etc etc

ahhh Jenkins. So many memories, few of them fond.

about 10 years ago the team I worked for had a Bespoke Jenkins system that required an intern almost full-time just to maintain it. It lost that intern backing for a few months and nobody could resurrect it afterwards, so it was thrown away
