It's wild how genuinely the funniest joke in Futurama's new season concerns a comedian getting booed off stage for trying to make jokes about nonbinary robots, in episode one, and every other joke has basically just fallen flat on its face since then. The reviewers say apparently the season has some high points? But man oh man has it been a plodding succession of low points so far.

They made a big point of bringing back as much of the show's original creative staff as possible but perhaps they should have not done that?
