It has unexpectedly turned into a "remove the steering wheel" day. Time to learn the dangers of the clock spring
back at it today. I dissected one of the OEM paddles last night. Might just be that I neglected to plug something in correctly behind the airbag. Or maybe the Lexus paddles use different output pins. Fun mystery to solve. Hooray
yeah it was that first one LOL they work perfectly now
