when i was 19-20ish my family lived at a rural american property that didn't have any kind of internet connection, and very very limited mobile connectivity. we would have to drive 15 mins into town to the nearest starbucks to get wifi. i have a lot of nostalgia for that, it was annoying at the time but being physically cut off from the firehose of human connection was honestly pretty healthy

and i know this is utterly unaustralian of me but i really wish we had starbucks over here in adelaide… this entire country shuts down at 6pm and i need coffee
