I have a spectacular idea that will appeal to 2... maybe three whole human beings out there.
Charitably.
So. I spend a lot of my time sitting on a horrible little plastic seat attached to some pedals attached to a flywheel and a screen (a peloton bike, yes, and I'm sorry for even bringing it up in this space, tbh. I could write another post about my feeeeelings about the company, how much I hate mainstream fitness culture, etc, but I mostly just make fun of myself for being a late 30s white woman with a peloton bike.).
I do this on almost all non-grappling days (and often as well on days I DO grappling) because 1. It offers honestly great workouts and 2. I'm thirty nine years old and have worked out every day of my entire life since I was 13, and it's low-impact on my (getting older, exposed to violence often) joints.
The instructors are... a lot, and I think they have to be, to be engaging with a wide audience of people from wildly varying athletic backgrounds/abilities. I genuinely like a few of them (obviously, their public personas), but there is a lot of toxic positivity getting flung all over the place and I would love to have my workouts just be: my cohost feed, read to me, synced to some high BPM music. Show me the images, give me the words, let me enjoy this particular brain food while I'm pedaling on a little imaginary road to nowhere...
(Ok, I actually really do like Hannah Frankson though, she's pretty great.)
That's it, that's the thought.
