I've witnessed this enough that it makes me scared to use social media in the way I want to out of fear of the potential kneejerk reactions others would have.

So many topics I wish I had a voice in when they were present, yet did and do not, because of all the many ways my words could be twisted or taken out of context.

Cohost, so far, is the best at combating this — Its lack of user facing metrics is completely antithetical to Twitter, and reinforces better posting behaviors by prioritizing the content over its potential reach. But even here, I've seen enough that I cannot let my guard down.

Honestly I feel my least desire for violence on this website. It's very calming by contrast. It's probably the lack of nazis.
