i finished umineko and i thought "ok that ending was kind of disappointing". and then i talked about it with some people and i thought "ok actually i get it now. i think it's pretty cool" and then it's been like 3 days and i can't stop thinking about it and I think umineko might actually be one of the greatest stories ever told.
have you ever thought... about Mysteries...
i won't blurt out spoilers because I'm not that kind of asshole. but there is something in umineko about the subjective viewpoints of the self, the empathy that one must hold for others, the ties that bind us all together, childlike innocence and naivete vs the jaded viewpoint of a cynical adult or teenager, the way that myths are told and made and retold and evolved, the role of fear and love and lust and horror and beauty in shaping us all, and the vulnerability of baring one's innermost soul to another -- that i just think is really cool
