the tension is electric... your eggbug is on a much more competent infiltration mission than mine is :p
ooh, we are deep in the caves, and suddenly the caves have some psx polygon count
this fucks, super clean for the time constraint, and i love the bass synth. that ending keyboard solo was super smooth to come up with so quickly!
That liquid DnB drop was amazing, especially coming in after something that HIGHLY reminds me of an RPG battle encounter starting.
Also that SHIFT in style from the beginning that took my expectations for a loop, the FIRE lead at the end.... so much that I love here.
Seconding this - I was not ready for how fucking hard that lead goes!!
You know when you’re in a tense action scene in a turn based rpg and the game telegraphs “shit is serious” because yes you can still get in random encounters but the usual battle music doesn’t play - the music from the area just takes over.
I can hear the battle swirls: I can see the victory animations of the characters with no fanfare because this song is driving us forward.
Incredible shit.
dayuuum that intro -> beat drop.. the way the piano melts into the sweep.. that's especially delicious. excellent mix too as always. i will always be into the piano in this style
Oh that is slick, especially for something done in less than the span of an afternoon (I'm very jealous). The D&B is definitely evocative of certain 90s action RPGs, but I think I'm more reminded of some of the music the Follin bros. did for the NES, like Equinox -- definitely helps capture a sort of high-fantasy vibe IMO. The lead noodling is choice!
