I just finished reading How To by Randall Munroe. It was...fine? I really enjoyed What If? but someone How To, while being perfectly interesting and well-written and readable, didn't grab me the same way.
It reminded me a lot of Ryan North's How To Take Over The World, as a loose premise for examining some real science, but How To goes more in the direction of really silly/impossible ideas.
My reading experience was somewhat hampered by technical problems with the ebook. I got the ebook from my library, and it broke Libby every time I opened it. I reinstalled Libby and not only did that not fix the problem, it also deleted all my Libby tags for books that I want to read in the future, so that was nice. I ended up needing to read it with Adobe Digital Editions, which, to its credit, did successfully open the book and allow me to read it, but it was buggy and irritating in just about every other way imaginable, truly earning its 1.5-star App Store rating.
Anyway, this was going to be a book review, but apparently I'm bad at writing those. How To! If you like Randall Munroe's work you probably already want to read this, and it's definitely something you can read and it's fine! It's the first book I've actually completed reading in months so that says something in its favour! Maybe you like it more than I do, I hope so!
