While I’m talking about animals I’ve seen almost nobody talk about the Eurasian Eagle Owl that was let out from the Central Park zoo by somebody who cut open the enclosure who died on Friday from flying into a building. I am fuuuuuuuuming about this “animal rights activists” literally do not care about animals they care about the anthropomorphized idea of them that they’ve created in their heads. You have released a non-native captive bird into a huge city and thwarted attempts to get it back to the area where it has biologically appropriate food, enrichment, an enclosure built for it, and a team of people that spend every day monitoring and caring for it for what reason? Because you think it would prefer to be in New York City???? And now you have ensured its death. Very cool. Anti-zoo propaganda is soooooo damaging zoos are SO important for conservation, education, and animal science.
