daily knowledge: in the muppet movie, once kermit finds his way to a carnival, we see miss piggy winning a beauty pageant. she locks eyes with kermit, and the greatest love story in cinema unfolds before us as she sings her grand solo, Never Before, Never Again. initially, this song was going to be performed by then-famous american pop singer johnny mathis, however, jim henson decided it'd be funnier to just have miss piggy (performed by frank oz) do it herself.
