By the way I did a bit of research and turns out Proto-Slavic speakers did the same penis/rooster analogy as modern English does right now, and obviously that's where it's inherited into Bulgarian from. In Russian "курица" is "hen" for example, so not shifted to the metaphor meaning. Fun!
