I went out and watched the Perseids this past weekend and I swear to you I've never seen a darker sky in my whole life. 7,200 feet of elevation, perfect seeing, zero atmospheric turbulence, no clouds, no wind even. Absolutely one of the greatest nights of stargazing I'll probably have in my whole life. This was the only shot I imagined to get some meteors in, but I saw dozens of them.
