A small holographic figure materialized from a projector on the pine marten’s wide console area. Maddy observed that unlike her own iteration, Lou’s ROSE appeared as a burly, butch polar bear woman with close-cropped hair; if she hadn’t been preoccupied with the immediate danger, she might have flushed at the realization that she was, in fact, specifically the elder dyke’s type.
