Slopper
The slopper is a redstone component introduced in update 1.28, also known as the B-Lust-ery Update. In addition to adding fully realized weather mechanics, this update also focused on more realistic depiction of procreative and intimate acts in the Minecraft environment, such as breeding animals and the ability to sleep with villagers or other players.
Usage
The slopper looks and functions like a traditional hopper, but has additional sound foley that is played when picking up items. The sounds resemble sloppy, wet, sucking noises.
The item can also be used as a personal sex device for the player. Unlike the strapper, it can only be used by one player at a time. Given its funnel-like shape, it is unclear if the slopper is intended for use via insertion or penetration. Lead Game Director Agnes Larsson stated this ambiguity was intentional, in order to keep the slopper accessible to people of all genital configurations.
When the player holds a slopper up to the wind, the slopper produces a note depending on which way the wind is blowing: C natural for due north, A natural for due east, G flat for due south, and E flat for due west. Other intervals are played for non-cardinal directions such as north by northeast, corresponding to the degrees around the circle of fifths. As such, the slopper is a useful way for the player to tell which direction the wind is blowing in clear conditions.
Trivia
Developer Jeb (redirect: Jens Bergensten) stated that the slopper was originally intended as a joke for the potential future 1.69 update. However, due to the majority of the Minecraft playerbase aging into young adulthood, procreative mechanics were introduced earlier than expected and the slopper was slated for release in 1.28.
