Hi, I co-run No Goblin with Panzer and our wonderful team. Sometimes I stream weird games too.

🎟️ Universal Studios Theme Parks Adventure Adventure 🎟️

Christmas, 2001. You just unwrapped a brand new Nintendo Gamecube, the latest and greatest in video game hardware. All your friends will be so jealous.

Unfortunately, your parents did their holiday shopping late and Kohl's didn't have much left in terms of software selection. So you unwrap your one and only game, Universal Studios Theme Parks Adventure.

It'll be months before your parents buy you another game.

Let's hope this one is good.

that's right. i've made a "fangame" based on a 22 year old licensed gamecube game that nobody liked. i put "fangame" in quotes because i don't believe myself to even be a fan (in fact, i might hate the original game more now than i did when i was 12) but i dunno if there's a better word. "hatergame"? maybe "criticgame" since i made it for Reviewjam 2023?

i have spent much time questioning whether or not anyone will appreciate this extremely stupid idea but that questioning never once weakened my resolve. this is easily one of my most ambitious projects yet, thanks in no small part to Bitsy, a tool that i had not used previously (but now have a lot of opinions about) allowing me to make something fairly dense relatively quickly.

please give it a try, even if you aren't familiar with the game it's based on (maybe especially if you're not familiar). you may be surprised by how much fun it can be to play a video game about playing a video game about visiting a theme park.

or maybe just play it if you hate woody woodpecker like i do. there are ample opportunities to be rude to that annoying little shit

all i know about this game (the gamecube one) is that i saw socpens twitch play it for, like, ten minutes once? more importantly, theme parks rule and so does everything associated with them. so i will be playing
