Im not 100% sure since its been a long time since ive been on tumblr, but two things that come to mind: People are less likely to berate you on here, and tags are very important for discoverability(i dont remember how discoverability works on tumblr but its worth emphasizing this for cohost). You can post pretty similarly in general! Very queer place, lots of silly short posts, lots of big long posts, etc.
