that last post i rebugged by @amayasnep reminded me of Jug Cerović / INAT's project night-trains.com. i honestly dont think these maps are as practical (or as clean), visually, as Back-On-Track's map, but the really cool thing is that he has designs for europe, eurasia, south and east asia, north and south america, (southern) africa, and australia; as well as an incredible world wide map. they are updated manually to show current service.

there are even maps for some major cities (only in europe) showing night train connections to that city:

if you're interested in transit maps, i strongly recommend you check out Cerović's studio, INAT. they have designed the official maps for many cities in francophone switzerland and france, such as geneva and the paris 2024 olympics transit map. they also have a series of worldwide metro maps made with the same design standards, which i have mixed feelings about (i think each system is unique and deserves its own special touch through design), but much of their other unofficial work is quite cool.

these four diagrams show different service conditions for the system: weekday (including peak service), late night, weekend, and severe winter weather. unfortunately i never completed the fifth and final map of accessibility-specific information. these are some of the first complete transit maps i made, and they are quite out of date, but im posting them here so that i can reference them when i finally post my review of the current NYC Subway map (which was requested by a follower)

this stylish diagram shows trams, city and regional buses, PostBus, AZZK buses, and S-Bahn; as well as indications of other railway operators, intercity train connections, and ferries. the front (right image) shows all lines with the s-bahn services condensed into a single black stroke, while the back (left image) shows detailed s-bahn services superimposed over a greyscale version of the front side.
