electric stovetops suck ass, especially the coil ones. Absolute trash. Inconsistent, ugly, bad at cooking, stupid garbage. I hate it.

I'm happy that I moved in with them, but I'll still never understand how my housemate actually prefers electric to gas.
I think it's a mostly fear of starting a fire, but they also say it's easier to cook with and I draw the line there.
Ok yeah I get the fear because gas is powerful and terrifying but “easier to cook with?” this means war.
Miraculously, we own this house and it does have a gas hookup so I'm hoping by the time we're looking at moderate kitchen improvements, I have convincingly made my case.
