my favorite music is inevitably fusion music, where a track is some mix of multiple different musical traditions. non-english hip-hop is always this, of course, but mftby ("my fans better than yours," composed of rappers yoon mi-rae, tiger jk, and bizzy) take it a step further in this track by introducing a brief post-chorus sequence featuring a tala, which is like a rhythmic sequence from the south indian classical style known as carnatic music. there's a youtuber called neil chan:
