exordia is a book that comes right out of the gate with a narrative voice that is unbelievably confident that you'll think the big snake alien woman is hot (it's right). I'm only in chapter 2 but I'm enjoying it immensely. chapter 1 spoilers below the cut

hot snake alien who shows up and bleeds all over your floor bc she got shot after a long day of eating turtles in the park, and yells at you to get her into your bathtub (which she broke before you got home (she doesnt understand what a faucet is and she's very strong)) but you have to drag her there by her tail so she doesn't bite you (sorry sorry it's a reflex) and by the way she has like 8 heads and speaks directly into your mind in cate blanchett's voice. then she casually mentions that all people are objectively good or evil and she can tell which is which based on their vibes, announces she's moving in with you, and gives you her credit card to go to trader joes and pay your rent
