Last night I had a dream that ... oh, I don't really remember the details, but this girl was designated as "the local goddess", her domain was the area of some medium-sized town or something. As part of her duties, she unleashed this magical purifying light over the area which "reset" something about it. The whole concept had the energy of some kind of weird-end-of-the-world magic apocalypse, but like things immediately went back to normal after the light passed? The dream also indicated that there were other local goddesses whose domains collectively covered the entire world, and they all set off their purifying at not quite the same time.
