I had a dream which started out retelling the "I'm taking Metal Gear back ... to the Patriots!" scene from MGS2. There was this whole extended bit about if Solid Snake got caught by the whole fucking three rooms full of American soldiers.
Then it swerved into a "novelization" of Metal Gear Solid (depicted in live action). Solid Snake explicitly self-identified as an Iditarod musher. Instead of taking him on the submarine directly from his Alaska home to Shadow Moses Island (also in Alaska), they first brought him to a Los Angeles residential suburb, which he discovered was actually a fake area set up by the military when everyone who lived there except him all vanished overnight. Liquid Snake and an unspecified woman (Sniper Wolf?) were running around in disguise, causing shenanigans behind the scenes which were completely different from the actual shenanigans Liquid caused in disguise in canon. When Solid Snake finally got to Shadow Moses, the dream played the fucking intro-fanfare from the VR missions, then immediately started playing the battle music.
