not using a content warning because i think content warnings should be reserved for stuff that people who have actual PTSD triggers need to be warned about, to skip or steel themselves. CWs are serious. you can use a details tag like this to hide a post instead:

just discovered that Dreamwidth, the site "based on the Livejournal codebase" whose cofounder created a deranged thread about why Cohost's boilerplate TOS is "abusive," has the following sentence in its Diversity Statement:
"Conservative or liberal, libertarian or socialist — we believe it's possible for people of all viewpoints and persuasions to come together and learn from each other. "
maybe people who use that website *should* be actively warned away from cohost
also i saw someone in the quote tweets there say "Mastadon was created by a Russian" as a reason not to use Mastodon, which further reinforces my point
