I read some canon Dirty Pair stuff right before bed last night, and my brain has been conjuring up a mental image of putting Kei and Yuri into a Tenshion situation. Like, give them a girlfriend to be polyamorous with, whose cosmic amount of Good Luck directly cancels out the Lovely Angels' cosmic amount of Bad Luck. Like, Kei and Yuri try to ignore their bad luck/deflect the blame, from what I've seen, like they're pretty happy with their lives, so like the Good Luck person is unhappy about how everything just Goes Her Way and she feels like her life is empty until she becomes a third Lovely Angel.

I'm having trouble figuring out if there's any existing characters I could cross over with Dirty Pair, if not an OC. Fortune from Metal Gear Solid 2, maybe? Have a whole thing where she blames Kei and Yuri for the death of her father as a result of one of their big disasters, but it was actually caused by this continuity's version of Ocelot again. I dunno, this doesn't necessarily really fit, I think.

Also if it's an OC, because this is me doing it, this new girlfriend is trans. I'm imagining that prior to transition, she's causing a bunch of Trouble, so the 3WA sends Kei and Yuri to fix the problem, and her egg cracks during the final battle. During which she's, like, glowing and causing Final Boss stuff or whatever, using only her Good Luck psychic powers.

Like half of me is considering filing the serial numbers off and making an OC concept, but anyway I put this idea into my notetaking app as "god of fortune's egg cracked by the Dirty Pair".

organize characters you've created into groups of 3 and assign one Misery, one CPR, and one Reeses Puffs. yes, they have to be assigned one. if you've got one who best fits Misery and one who best fits Reeses Puffs, then the third one is CPR, no exceptions. you are, however, allowed to give a character a different assignment if you put them into a different trio if their previous song fits another character in that trio better.

note: you are allowed to have one (1) character who never fits any of the three, but only if the joke is they never fit any of them no matter what and they're only there to fourth-wheel other trios.

I won't tell anyone that they're "doing fandom wrong" or whatever, and you can write about whatever characters you want.

But I really think you need to remember that when writing canon characters who've never had any dialogue or backstory, and have had at best some one-sentence commentary by the creator which may or may not have been referring to an entire species rather than the individual you saw, you're either making everything up from whole cloth, or you're basing it off another fan who was also making everything up from whole cloth. "Koakuma" is basically an OC with slightly fewer steps. "Sariel", too, but with one step fewer than "Koakuma" (that is, Sariel already has a name).
