We made it through another week, friends. Sit back and relax for a bit with some new tunes and videos from your pal DJ Regular, with a new edition of What's Good. The M.O.: I round up a selection of new music that dropped that I think is worth your time, you enjoy it. Simple, right?
Before we get to it, I'd like to ask you to do a little something for me first. As you've probably heard, the ICJ has issued a preliminary ruling against Israel's actions in Gaza, calling South Africa's claims that the Israeli state is committing genocide plausible. This is a pretty big deal, and while the ICJ doesn't have executive control over Israel, it's a definitive statement on the world stage against their actions and their Western supporters. With all that in mind, I'd like to ask anyone who rocks with me to take a few moments out of their day to lend support to the Palestinian people. Do me a solid and knock out a few of the things on this list before diving into this week's What's Good selections:
- Contact your representatives to demand a Ceasefire and immediate end to genocidal action: Jewish Voice for Peace has put together an easy callback form for contacting your state's representative to ask them to put pressure on the White House to demand an end arms support for Israel, and call for a ceasefire. Check to see where your representative stands at the Working Families Party's Ceasefire Tracker.
- Donate to Anera and Women for Women International to help provide personal hygiene supplies and other support for Palestinians:
- Purchase eSims to help Palestinians without internet access get connected: Mirna El Helbawi is running an effort to get esims to Palestininans to those in need to connect to the outside world so that they keep in touch with their loved ones, and to show the rest of the world what's happening in Gaza. Follow the instructions @ gazaesims.com to purchase and send esims to those in need.
I know things are rough out here, but not only can taking some action help those in need, it can make you feel like things aren't so hopeless too. Thanks in advance.
And now, onto What's Good.
