Friday’s pizza was the Little Caeser's pretzel-crust pizza with cheese sauce and pepperoni, and the WCW episode on tap was the May 31, 2000, edition of WCW Thunder. This choice came up with the passing of the great Terry Funk, and I was reminded this event featured the Terry Funk and Chris Candido (also RIP) hardcore title match that nearly saw the wrestlers get kicked in the face by a horse.
I knew I was going to enjoy the unpredictability of the aforementioned hardcore title match, but what else awaited me in this episode that was live from Boise, Idaho?
It turned out the rest of the episode didn't offer a whole lot. There were a couple of interesting things that panned out over the originally two-hour broadcast to check and see if you were still awake. I largely was thankful I didn't buy a ticket to this episode, as the majority of these interesting things happened outside of not just the ring, but the entire arena (I hope they had really cool dark matches for the people in attendance).
But, I mean, Terry Funk cut a short promo on a horse ... How do you follow that?
