I'm, somehow, 33. I've been on this rock for what feels like a huge amount of time, but in the grand scheme of things isn't much. I don't think there's a good metric for how much or how little I've "accomplished" with my time - I've done a lot of good things and cool stuff with/for people, and I've also made a lot of stupid, thoughtless mistakes. I hope the former outweigh the latter, at least. The idea of age milestones - "by age XX you should have/be ____" - seems to have disintegrated for people like me, but that's kind of fine. I don't want to live on Straight Time. I'm a cartoon dinosaur and I'm queer as fuck and I continue to work as hard as my brain/body will allow in order to get myself to a place of comfort, safety and fulfilment, as well as the people I love and care about. The work continues. But at least I'm still here.
