it's a hard green plastic ball inside of another, large hard red plastic ball. the red ball has holes that will accomodate a narrow snout or a paw, so the interior green ball can be poked. it isn't bacon-scented or chicken-flavored and there's nowhere in it to stash treats, it's just a big chunk of plastic that languished in my partner's house for years, always on the verge of being thrown in the recycling because no puppy ever wanted to play with it for more than 90 seconds.
Bogue the borzoi puppy stole it when she was like ten weeks old and adores it. I took it away from her (along with bones, hard chews, sticks etc.) when she had a tooth pulled; I just gave it back a few days ago and she has been bouncing joyously around with it ever since.
Her brother Neo is slightly less obsessed with chewing on the thing but it has value as "something Bogue wants and will chase and bite me for if I take it from her", which is an essential puppy game.
