I have so many questions, nearly all of them variations on "why"
And yet while this is a plausible explanation the same question follows...
and the best part isn't just that he crashed a plane on purpose he also tried to cover it up and repeatedly lied to federal organizations.
"Jacob admitted he had received a sponsorship deal from a company that sold numerous products including a wallet."
immediate thought: probably ridge wallet
I love how a company SPONSORED him to crash his plane and then he didn't promote their product while he was crashing his plane.
I've gotta admit, when I first read that he went back to collect the wreckage and safely disposed of it, I thought "oh, well that's a good thing at least, he made sure to tidy up" and not "well, that's the part that deserves 20 years in prison"
There's definitely a fine line between "cleaning up after yourself" and "disposing of evidence" huh
The videos people made at the time were hilarious, going frame-by-frame showing he had fire extinguishers strapped to his legs under his pants, as one does when totally not staging something.
