@questfortori showed us Chibi Maruko-chan: My Favourite Song (1992) last night, and lemme tell you. If I didn't already know that Masaaki Yuasa worked on this, I'd have found out fast the instant a scene he animated shows up. Amazing to me his style was so distinctive already in 1992.
