Trying to remember what publisher frankly said "we shouldn't have published that imageepoch game". I think it was imageepoch? Like I know they were universally seen as bad, but that even their publishing partner would admit to it...
Maybe I made it up and I've been slandering imageepoch this whole time. Though probably not slandering that bad because, you know. Look at the games

Maybe you're thinking of NIS? They published Time and Eternity outside of Japan and they've apologized for games that they've published before like Ar Tonelico II, Last Rebellion, and the initial localization of Ys VIII
Shit, it was Last Rebellion. Sorry imageepoch, I really did slander you. But I think Time and Eternity was even worse
Time and Eternity is at least a really cool idea with a Yuzo Koshiro track in there to give it one good thing, but yeah playing through that game is a very miserable experience. I did so twice, for some reason! Last Rebellion is extremely rough too, but at least it's a much faster game to get through
