So long as we're talking plagiarism, a fun one that happened to me awhile back:
A small publisher called Dispatch Games held a fanart contest for their upcoming physical localization of RS34's Radirgy Swag. To promote it, they published an image to Twitter where the description of the game was word-for-word copied from the description I wrote for Mobygames. Even better, I hadn't actually played the game yet when I wrote it, so it wasn't even a totally accurate description of the gameplay.
I brought it up and they ignored me. Anyway, they eventually blew past six consecutive release dates, went radio silent, and deleted all their tweets at least three times. So they may never had acknowledged me, but they also never actually announced a winner for the competition or even released the game. It's just funny and kinda pathetic in retrospect.
