Yeah, no bread but served on top of fries. This one's the veggie version with breaded eggplant instead of chicken, which is really tasty

Yup! It's popular in Aus, but I've never seen it back home in Canada. Don't know why, it's tasty and refreshing

That sounds real good! Is it ginger that's been fermented in some way, or is it a pre-mixed dark and stormy/similar?

Yeah, it's made with fermented ginger most of the time - though I think some brands are made using ginger juice and a neutral alcohol

So in São Paulo, chicken/beef parm is a standard ubiquitous diner meal and just like this it's served with fries (and white rice, though). Maybe something about the southern hemisphere just drives people to put marinara sauce and cheese in close proximity to french fries.
