If I remember right, this started happening when Google replaced their old system with an AI-based translator awhile back. It seemed like they mostly got it under control but I’ve been seeing it a lot more often recently.

I think this is a thing where if it doesn’t have any actual matches on any of the terms it starts trying to pull from a bunch of really improbable stuff. Classic AI problem of confidently returning a really wrong answer instead of saying “I don’t know”
