People exaggerate how bad this is because it's Zelda, but it's still pretty bad. If Hotel Mario is an exactly mid game, this is rpDevilBubsy.
The completely random approach to enemy spawn locations gives this an honestly kinda charming sense of space, especially since the background art is so good. Why are these villages completely swarming with enemies? Why does no one comment on it? Is anyone able to leave their homes? Do they actually care?
There's something genuinely charming about this era of open world games where they communicate absolutely nothing about what's going on or where to go. Figure it out or perish, or read the guide.
I was defeated by the swamps. The platforming is usually "okay" at best, but the swamp takes more precision than I can give.
